Heritage United Way Completes Transformation to a "Virtual Office"
Tuesday, September 29, 2009
Heritage United Way recently partnered with UPIC Solutions, an administrative
and technology services organization specializing in the implementation of Virtual Office
platforms. This will allow for the mobility desired in today’s business environment.
UPIC Solutions solely serves United Way organizations across the country. The company
was born out of a successful collaboration between the United Ways in Lexington, KY and
Cincinnati, OH in the late 1990’s. Now owned and governed by several well-respected
United Ways, UPIC Solutions provides their partners, especially smaller United Ways, with
the ability to stay current with the technology of their customers. They do this by
allowing United Ways to share in technology costs and experience. By working collectively,
UPIC’s combined purchasing power provides high quality services and technological support
at affordable prices.
“We are very excited to have access to this technology. As a smaller United Way, with
nine employees, we need to create efficiencies wherever we can. This technology will
allow us to serve our donors and community partners at a much higher level than
before,” said Patrick Tufts, President & CEO of Heritage United Way. “We are continually
focused on reducing operating costs and this technology achieves that goal.”
