
Heritage United Way Celebrates 2008 Campaign

Heritage United Way held their annual Campaign Celebration event on Wednesday, March 4th at the Center of NH/Radisson Hotel.
Close to 300 individuals attended this year's event, sponsored by Centrix Bank, Comcast, Devine Millimet and Branch, National Grid and Public Service Company of New Hampshire, where it was announced that the 2008 campaign, chaired by Dr. Steven Paris, Medical Director at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester, had achieved over 94% of its $3,550,000 goal.
Funds raised through the annual campaign allow Heritage United Way to support programs in the areas of Education and Lifelong Learning, Health and Wellness and Housing and Economic Self-Sufficiency within the eighteen communities they serve.
Speakers at the event included Governor John Lynch, Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta, Paris, 2009 Heritage United Way Board Chair, Dan Griggs of MassMutual Asset Finance and Heritage United Way President & CEO, Patrick Tufts.
Numerous awards were also handed out during the evening including:
2008 GIVE Award- Baker Newman Noyes and Central Paper Products
2008 ADVOCATE Award- Mayor Frank Guinta and Brian Tremblay, Development Director at the Manchester Boys & Girls Club
2008 VOLUNTEER Award- Velcro USA Inc. and M.J. Driscoll, Community Relations Specialist at Bank of America
The winners of the Campaign Incentive Grand Prizes were also selected.
Individuals who pledged $156 or more per year to the campaign were eligible to win a 2007 Hyundai Sonata GL, courtesy of Merchants Automotive Group and Heritage United Way.

Individuals who contributed $52 or more per year were eligible to win a half-season ticket package courtesy of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats! Congratulations to Scott McDonald from Rockingham Meals on Wheels! Enjoy the ballgames!
