Heritage United Way to Sponsor a Talk by Rosalind Wiseman
Sunday, January 10, 2010
Join us for an informative talk “Queen Bees & Wannabes: Navigating the New Realities of Girl World and Boy World” by Rosalind Wiseman, author of the New York Times best-selling book Queen Bees and Wannabes which served, in part, as the basis for the hit movie, Mean Girls on Wednesday, January 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester (Robert Frost Hall - Walker Auditorium).
Rosalind Wiseman's book launched readers headfirst into Girl World and Boy World where teens face cliques, 'frenemies', gossip, cyber bullying, crushes and relationships at the speed of light via internet. Wiseman guides you through the new adolescent landscape to teach strategies for helping children navigate conflict ethically and with social competence.
This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Sponsored by: Heritage United Way, Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains and the Regional Office on Women's Health.
