Heritage United Way Becomes Granite United Way!
As of today, July 1, 2010, Heritage United Way becomes Granite United Way. This merged organization includes the former United Ways of Merrimack County (Greater Concord), the Upper Valley (Hanover/Lebanon area) and the North Country (Littleton area).

Heritage United Way Announces Free Tax Prep Sites in Manchester
With the tax season upon us, Heritage United Way has partnered with AARP NH Tax Aide and Southern NH University to offer free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites throughout Greater Manchester from February 1 through April 15, 2010.

United Way Worldwide Disaster Fund- Donate to Recovery Efforts in Haiti
On the evening of January 12, 2010, a major 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti. It is the most powerful quake to hit the impoverished country in more than 200 years. The tremor struck 15km (10 miles) south-west of the capital Port-au-Prince, and was quickly followed by two strong aftershocks of 5.9 and 5.5 magnitude. Reports describe the destruction to affect as much as 70 percent of the buildings, with debris filling the roads making emergency response difficult. We now know that upwards of 50,000 lives may have been lost.
